The new beginning

Llangollen national champs 2011

llangollen has always been my favourite track since they raced it in 2009, in my opinion it is a proper downhill track and I mean proper, the steepest on the circuit.

There was a national a couple of weeks prior here but this was national champs the most covered race in the British ranks and this time with a twist as it starts in the steepest woods known to man then traversed back across the hill into the open flat-out section which then seamed tame.

Saturday practises started damp then ended up roosty rad and outta control, I done 5 praccy runs and was enough to fill my head with all the right feelings for race day.

After a fun nights crack a good nights sleep was had and up for 2 calm runs on the Sunday morning (cheers baz and big Dave). Qualifying went well even with a big mistake in the open I qualed 6th which was more my territory, being the 6th last man down the hill I loved the pressure.

Some noodles were brewed up from mum and I was back at the top of the hill getting Syked for my race run. On the line and I was off, 2 or 3 small hobbles up top cost me a few valuable spots but after coming through and finishing a strong 8th I was well pleased with in my oppinion my best result of the season.

This season has Been full of ups and downs for me as the results have not been what I was expecting, mebies I have been putting a bit to much pressure on myself but now having a fun weekend has worked well for me my head is in the right place and ready to smash some turns in France for the next WC.
Thanks to all for now including a new member to the team, the big guy upstairs,
Amen
Scotty
